And the finalists were …

A Cambridge badminton team comprising Glennis Verhoeven, Nicki Davis, Maureen Shaw, Lyn McCorquindale, Debbie Fisher and Lynda Davis finished second in a tournament in Australia.

The Cambridge Badminton Club team played in Melbourne at the annual Atalanta Badminton Jamboree, an event comprising about 300 competitors.

The women’s competition, played every day over a week, is as a different location each year and this year marked its 40th anniversary.

Cambridge, as the Cambridge Misfits NZ was in the D-section of the team event and was beaten by a Victorian team 4-3 in the final.
