St Peter’s School’s rock climbing students won big at the Waikato Secondary Schools Rock Climbing Champs earlier this month, taking home the awards for Overall Best Team, Best District School Team and Best Mixed Team.

St Peter’s entered two teams into the competition. The students also competed as individuals and, again, achieved great results.

Sophie Waddell placed 2nd in the junior girls’ section, while Alex Brannigan came 3rd in the junior boys’. Tiffany Perko was 3rd in the senior girls’ competition and Patrick Soulier (with an injured finger) came 5th in the senior boys’ section.
